Our Village Shop is a fantastic resource – the true heart of the village. At front of house you will find Elspeth and Lisa (left), and on a Sunday the volunteers who manage the shop behind the scenes: Judy and Darrell Romer (the official Postmaster) and Tony Knight who also manages the newspaper accounts. Nick Mitchell runs the 100 Club which helps the shop financially as well as giving prizes.
IF YOU WANT A SHOP IN THE VILLAGE, SHOP IN THE VILLAGE!
The shop is stocked with an amazingly wide array of food and drink, able to satisfy the most discerning of residents in Shackleford and the surrounding communities.
From local cheeses, to pies, meat and veg; from hand-made chocolate to juices and wine. We even have a freezer section of ready meals and ice creams made locally.
And there is a wide range of household basics for when you run out of dishwasher tablets, gravy powder and pet food.
There is even a small boutiquey gift shop to avoid the embarrassment of a forgotten birthday.
And of course the Post Office is available…open six days a week, offering all the main services you need like mail, cash, foreign exchange and stamps.
With dry cleaning, newspapers and greeting cards, why make the trip into Godalming?
You can even have an early morning newspaper delivery right to your door.
Please support the Shackleford Village Shop…it’s one of the ways we keep Shackleford rather special
Open 7 days per week, Monday to Saturday 8 – 1 and Sunday 9 – 10.30.
