I am sure that many of you have been so discouraged by England’s recent performance that you are now keen to dust off the old whites and give it another go yourself.
Many of you will know that the Village runs a cricket club in Peper Harow Lane which is open to all to join. We have fixtures, normally on a Sunday afternoon, either home or away – no more than 20-30 minutes away, starting in May and going through to the end of the summer. These are long-standing fixtures against other villages or wandering sides and all the matches are played in good spirit – a bit like England v Aus!
We are keen to encourage as many of you as possible to support this long established club even if it for one or two games during the season. We are very much a family club and encourage other halves and children also to come along.
