Elam Ministries

Elam Ministries made its home at Grenville in 1990.

Elam trains people for the Christian ministry in the Iran region, with a special emphasis on leadership. For example, they have made the first modern translation of the Bible into Persian and produced Christian DVDs in Persian.

In 1990 there were fewer than 10 Iranians with Bible training; now in Iran there are over 300 leaders training for ministry and hundreds of thousands of Iranians visit Christian websites.

In 2011 they created the Grenville prayer garden in memory of Kevin, a long-standing and loyal caretaker whose grave is in St Mary’s churchyard. Also buried there is ‘Papa Seth’, the father of Elam’s founder director Sam Yeghnazar.
